As a virtual assistant, I know why people are hesitant to blog. I’ve heard them say that they don’t like to write or they don’t have time to write. Many will be dedicated enough to write a blog for two or three months, and then you notice that they haven’t blogged in over a year.
The problem with this thinking is that blogging is here to stay and Social Media Examiner just wrote an amazing blog post explaining why we need to rethink blogging. If you haven’t already done so, this article is worth taking the time to read.
Further confirming the importance of blogging, Trulia reported, “According to Technorati’s statistics (since 2004, their annual study has followed the growth and trends in the blogosphere), a new blog is created every 7.4 seconds, which adds up to about 275,000 posts per day.”
Therefore, whether we like it or not, people are blogging more than ever, and they’re not about to stop. What does this mean to business owners? It’s time to get on the bandwagon and blog, blog, blog.
How can a virtual assistant help you in your efforts to blog? We understand that many business owners simply don’t have the time to blog. They need to put their time and effort into other areas of their business. Added to that, many business owners don’t like to blog. Ask some why they don’t blog, and they will tell you, “I don’t like to write, and it’s not going to happen if I have to do it.”
On the other hand, there are virtual administrative assistants who love to write and are good at it. Give them a subject, ask them to write on it, and they produce a blog or article for you. When a business owner doesn’t have the time, or want, to blog, my company is happy to step in. We can even setup your WordPress site for you.
What’s most important to keep in mind is whether you or I like it, blogging is here to stay. More and more businesses are doing it and the longer someone waits, the further behind they are from those who are starting now.
